Day 109 : Korean Wave Concert
[3 December 2011]
A friend had 1 extra free ticket from Korea Tourism Organization (KTO) to watch Korean Wave Concert in Yongpyong today. I invited myself to take the ticket, hehe. Well, this guy often gives giveaway of K-Pop things, follow him! :P
I am not that big fan of K-Pop, but it turned out the trip was amazing! At least, for me. Let me tell you why.

BEAST
The event was held for 3 days (2-4 December 2011) with different artists each day. My friend got the ticket for Saturday December 3rd, which starring: Kim Kyujong (SS501), My Name, G.Na, 4 Minutes, and… BEAST! I listened to BEAST sometimes, after they performed so handsomely in my favorite tv show 1N2D few months ago. So it would be nice to see them performing live.
BEAST consists of 6 boys. I don’t have any favorite member, I like them all as the whole group. I only know 2 names. First one is Yoseob, because my sister really likes him, and I went to Yoseob’s Mom’s restaurant before. Second one is Kikwang, because his name was discussed in 1N2D. In Korean Wave Concert last weekend, Kikwang didn’t come, so there were only 5 of them.
The concert lasted for 2 hours from 7 PM to 9 PM. BEAST performed last (save the best for last, right?) with 4 songs: Breath, Shock, Fiction and On Rainy Days. No Beautiful, my most favorite song. Is it because no Kikwang? :(
OUTSIDE SEOUL
This event was held by KTO for foreigners to promote Pyeongchang in Gangwon-do, the place that was selected as the host of Olympic Winter 2018. Gangwon-do is also famous for skiing resorts in Korea.
It was about 3 hours from Seoul. KTO arranged the buses and foods for us. There were about 10 buses departed from KTO office in Gwanghwamun at 1.30 PM, and arrived at the concert hall at 4.30 PM.
Like I said before, I really love going outside Seoul. The view was amazing, with mountains and…

SNOW!
How surprised I was, when I woke up on the bus in the half way to the concert venue.. The mountains and trees outside were so white covered by snow! I was like glued to the window. I was going to cry for happiness.
Not too long, the bus stopped at the rest area. I directly went outside to touch the snow. It was not snowing, but there was some snow left. That was my first time touching snow :)
Music show, going outside Seoul, and snow… Three awesome things happened on the same day, I was really happy. Thanks, KTO and Ramsky!
For going back to Seoul, I chose the bus to Gangnam area, which was closer to my house, while my friend took the bus to KTO office. So I was sitting alone in the bus back to Seoul, having me-time. I couldn’t sleep, because of being too excited for all this. I listened to music while looking at the dark view outside, I still could see the glimpse of snow. I was thinking and smiling. Suddenly after few times not feeling this, I felt it again… I am so grateful of coming to Korea.
